Balloons from Easter eggs

I had to make a birthday card in between all the easter cards. Unfortunate I haven't got any balloons...

But I solved it with easter eggs!

Jag var tvungen att göra ett födelsedagskort mellan alla påsk kort. Tyvärr så hade jag inte några ballonger...

Men, jag löste det med påsk ägg!

And a new Card fold (for me).

 There's a template below.

Och en ny kortvikning (för mig).

To make this card I used:

För att göra kortet så använde jag:

Grattis is a new die!

The Easter eggs are a set of 8 dies! I just turned them around and attached a small triangle so that it looks like a balloon.

Grattis är en ny die!

Påsk äggen är ett set på 8 dies! Jag vände bara på dom och fäste en liten triangel så att det skulle se ut som en ballong.

Here's the template

Cardbase: 13 x 29 cm

Score with the longest side up at: 14, 18, 24 & 28 cm

The PopUp part: 8 x 14 cm

Score with the longest side up at: 9 & 13 cm

Your parts should look like this when folded:

Dina delar borde se ut så här när dom är vikta:

Put double sided tape on the 1 cm tabs and attach the parts as the picture below shows.

If you want to decorate your card with pattern paper, do it before attaching the pieces together.

Sätt dubbelhäftande tejp på 1 cm flikarna och fäst delarna som bilden nedan visar.

Vill ha mönstrat papper på ditt kort, så fäst det innan du sätter ihop delarna.

The tutorial

Beskrivningen

• Cardstock 6" x 8 1/2"
• Score with the longest side up at: 4" & 8" 
• Turn the paper around
• Score with the short side up at: 1" & 5"
• Turn the paper back again, make sure that the tab is on the right side.
• Cut at 2", 4" & 6" from the top down to the scoreline.  See the picture.
• Score diagonal as the picture shows
• Cut out a part of the tab, next to the 4 bottom tabs
• Cut the opposite corner of the tab

• Cardstock 6" x 8 1/2"
• Biga med den längsta sidan up: 4" & 8" 
• Vänd pappret
• Biga med den korta sidan upp: 1" & 5"
• Vänd tillbaka pappret igen, se till att du har fliken till höger
• Skär 2", 4" & 6" från toppen ner till biglinjen Se bilden
• Biga diagonalt som bilden visar
• Skär bort en bit av fliken, bredvid dom 4 bottenflikarna.
• Snedda det motsatta hörnet av fliken

Score lines are black  

Cut lines are red

Big linjer är svarta
Skär linjer är röda

• If you want patterned paper, cut 2 pieces at 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" 
• Mark the middle and cut out 3 pieces diagonal as the picture below shows.
• Attach the pattern pieces with tape on to the cardstock.
• Attach a strong tape or glue along the tab and close the box
• Then you attach tape or glue on the bottom tabs and close them
• To make the bottom a bit stronger, I put some patterned paper and cardstock on to the bottom tabs. Maybe you want to write something there, a secret message...

• Om du vill ha mönstrat papper, skär ut 2 bitar: 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" 
• Markera mitten och skär ut 3 delar diagonalt som bilden nedan visar.
• Fäst dom mönstrade delarna på cardstocken
• Fäst en stark tejp eller lim på fliken och stäng boxen.
• Fäst en stark tejp eller lim på bottenflikarna och stäng dom
• För att göra botten lite starkare, så fäste jag lite mönstrat papper och cardstock på bottenflikarna Kanske du vill skriva något där, ett hemligt meddelande...

Tutorial:

1 piece of 12" x 5 5/8" Cardstock  ( Cardbase)

Score along the longest side at :  2 7/8", 5 3/4", 8 5/8", 11 1/2"

2 pieces of  2 5/8" x 5 1/2" Cardstock, (A)

2 pieces of  2 3/8" x 5 1/4"  Pattern paper, (B)

1 piece of 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" Cardstock, (C)

1 piece of 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" Pattern paper, (D)

A 4" circle die cut

1 piece of clear acetate 5" x 3/4"

Beskrivning:

1 del 12" x 5 5/8" Cardstock  ( Kortbas)

Biga längs den längsta sidan :  2 7/8", 5 3/4", 8 5/8", 11 1/2"

2 delar  2 5/8" x 5 1/2" Cardstock, (A)

2 delar  2 3/8" x 5 1/4"  Mönstrat papper, (B)

1 del  5 1/2" x 5 1/2" Cardstock, (C)

1 del  5 1/4" x 5 1/4"  Mönstrat papper, (D)

En 4" cirkel die
1 del genomskinlig acetat  5" x 3/4"

• Place the 4" circle die cut on to piece C & run it through your Bigshot.
• To make sure that the holes are in line, use piece C as a stencil. Put it on to the Cardbase (the 1/2" tab on the right side) draw along the circle, now you know exactly where to put your die cut. 
• Place the 4" circle die cut on to the front of the cardbase & run it through your Bigshot.
• Do the same with the piece D. 
• For more effect you can use smaller size of die cut with piece C.
• When die cutting, use washitape to hold the die cuts in place.
• Fold and burnish all the score lines
• Adhere the acetate with strong glue on to the cardbase panel with the hole . This part is the floating section
• Adhere piece C & D over the acetate/cardbase

• Placera 4" cirkel die på del C & kör igenom den i din Big shot.
• För att vara säker på att hålen är i linje, använd del C som en stencil. Placera den på kortbasen ( fliken som är 1/2" ska ligga till höger) märk ut längs med stencilen, nu vet du exakt var du ska placera din cirkel die.
• Placera cirkel diesen på framsidan av kortbasen & kör igenom den i din Big shot.
• Gör samma sak med del D.
• För mer effekt så kan du använda en mindre cirkel die på del C.
• När du ska köra genom Big shoten, använd washitape för att hålla diesen på plats.
• Vik alla viklinjer och dra med bigaren över alla viklinjer för att få skarpa vikningar.
• Fäst acetaten med ett starkt lim på kortbasen med hålet. Denna del är den " flytande delen".
• Fäst del C & D ovanpå acetaten/kortbasen.

• Adhere pieces A & B on to the inside back panels

• Fäst delarna A & B på insidan av dom bakre panelerna.

• Add adhesive on to the 1/2" side section and fold front over to form the box.

• Fäst dubbelhäftande tejp på 1/2" fliken och vik över fronten för att forma en låda.
